Mercy Hospital is proud to announce that Claudia DiStrito, Senior Vice President of nursing and patient services, has been named president of The Florida Organization of Nurse Executives (FONE). The honor tops a long list of achievements for DiStrito, who has been recognized on numerous occasions for her outstanding leadership and service.
In her latest position, DiStrito will be overseeing operations within FONE, an organization which serves as a platform for the advancement of professional nursing practice and nursing leadership. For DiStrito, whose achievements earned her FONEs Leadership Award in 2006, the influential position presents an opportunity to do even greater work within her field. She also currently serves as immediate past president for the South Florida Nursing Consortium.
